Designing the Cotswold map was where this all started. I wanted to purchase a great looking map of the Cotswolds and quite frankly what was available was not good, so I designed my own. The Cotswolds is famous for spanning across different counties, it is the largest AONB in Britain, so that became the foundation of the map. The different coloured areas are the portions of the different counties that complete the Cotswolds (Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Somerset, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire). History is another dimension of an area so adding the Sites of Significant Historical and Cultural Interest was a great idea that adds great value to the map and occupies a rather large area of white space so completes the design nicely.
