Gloucestershire Maps

Year of Design - 2019

My second map following the Cotswold map. The same design parameters established for the Cotswold map have been adopted, but the main areas of colour are now the administrative areas that make up the Ceremonial County of Gloucestershire. This includes South Gloucestershire, (which is a separately administered county, but forms part of the 'Ceremonial' County of Gloucestershire), and the districts of Tewkesbury, Stroud, Cotswold, Forest of Dean, Cheltenham and Gloucester.

There are three versions of the Gloucestershire map. An original design with the districts of Gloucestershire, an 'Autumnal' version of the map, with colours inspired by that time of year and a version of the county as a whole, without districts.

District maps of Stroud, Tewkesbury, Forest of Dean and Cotswold are also available. South Gloucestershire

A detailed urban map of Cheltenham town has also been produced. Year of design 2023.

Details on the Maps

Rivers, lakes, reservoirs, a complete road and rail network, woodland, parks, hilltops golf courses, airports and runways, are all marked and labelled on the maps.

Hill shading is applied across the map bringing the topography and relief of Gloucestershire to the map.

Long distance walking routes are plotted and labelled on the map including, The Cotswold Way, Monarch's Way, Macmillan Way, Thames and Severn Way, Wysis Way and Gloucestershire Way.

Sites of significant historical & cultural interest are also plotted on the maps complete with reference sections. Examples include Gloucester Cathedral, Woodchester Park & Mansion, Puzzle Wood, Cirencester Roman Amphitheatre, Over Bridge and The Fosse Way.

Gloucestershire Mini Maps

My Gloucestershire maps have also been re-designed for the mini map series. These have less labelling, prioritising place names, civil parish borders and labels are removed along with the walking routes.

The 'sites of significant historical and cultural interest' are also lost.
